MyLifeIsBro
So I was just hanging out with my bros, you know, downing some beers, looking at some websites. I was thinking to myself… the bro culture is so rich and people just don’t get it. A lot of headway was made when this YouTube sensation hit it big back in 2006, laying claim to the definition:
A bro is an 18-24 year old male who wears Birkenstock sandals, watches Family Guy, plays ultimate frisbee, and wears an upside down visor or baseball cap with pre-frayed rim. You know, a bro.
Well it’s now 2010, and the bro culture is more lively than ever. To capitalize on this sensation, a MyLifeIsAverage knock-off, called MyLifeIsBro, has recently launched. The site is still in its early stages, but already has a few things going for it. For one, it is created by the founder of MLIA. Second, it’s already getting compelling user-submitted content and increasing traffic. The site allows you to create a “Brofile”, and rates posts by how “Chill” they are. Head over to MyLifeIsBro to see for yourself.
